But it's not a madly complex beer: it does chocolate, it does dry, and it leaves you to enjoy that. I've seen it done as well and better at much lower ABVs (Dungarvan Black Rock springs immediately to mind). But as to the bottle art: that's just Denmark, bless 'em and their nearly uncontrolled access to the retail beer market. The Beer Nuthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14105708522526153528noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12501248.post-72140213921729732842010-06-17T21:54:02.942+01:002010-06-17T21:54:02.942+01:00So uh, you're not a fan of this bottle art eh?...So uh, you're not a fan of this bottle art eh? Haha I have to say I agree with you... yech

I'm intrigued by this beer. I love a nice drinkable stout that still packs in a ton of flavor. Other than the milk/dark chocolate combo on the palate, what other flavors come through? Do they transition in an interesting or complex way? Or were you more surprised to find this much chocolate flavor in a beer with relatively low alcohol and an ugly bottle? ;)Roycehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09026696036192099488noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12501248.post-83576287077109053822010-06-17T20:36:51.067+01:002010-06-17T20:36:51.067+01:00I guess someone else got there first!I guess someone else got there first!Barry Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07367655129107699025noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12501248.post-11159086847359764512010-06-17T19:39:50.570+01:002010-06-17T19:39:50.570+01:00Barry, the great Mrs Beeton in the 19th century re...Barry, the great Mrs Beeton in the 19th century recommended nursing mothers to drink Cooper, a half-and-half mixture of stout and porter.

At least this one isn't called "mother's milk stout".Martyn Cornellhttp://zythophile.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12501248.post-22458401654721700342010-06-17T10:30:55.874+01:002010-06-17T10:30:55.874+01:00Damn!
