I can't believe that this beer is popular with 'norms' or 'geeks'. On the flipside I am looking forward to trying the Brookyn Summer ale, I like their lager and their Brown Ale is pretty good too.Mark (Halite)https://www.blogger.com/profile/13889456411151537055noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12501248.post-26281669764884427592010-05-01T15:14:35.783+01:002010-05-01T15:14:35.783+01:00More like a double fault...More like a double fault...The Beer Nuthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14105708522526153528noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12501248.post-76829504287851192432010-05-01T15:09:05.095+01:002010-05-01T15:09:05.095+01:00Did you not do "the serve" with a slice ...Did you not do "the serve" with a slice of orange? It's a strange beer indeed - weak and with a real saccharine tang.Leighhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05512660051158275112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12501248.post-69934069773097416042010-04-30T15:20:05.856+01:002010-04-30T15:20:05.856+01:00So many times in the States, after talking with a ...So many times in the States, after talking with a "norm" about craft beer, they will respond with "Well, I do like Blue Moon." It's usually a big let down when I tell them Blue Moon is actually Coors. The strategy where mega breweries sell beer posing as a much smaller brewer seems to plant the seeds of its own distruction.Derrick Petermanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03965272125362046327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12501248.post-14298322077298403762010-04-30T14:02:58.533+01:002010-04-30T14:02:58.533+01:00So many of my friends in SC drank this stuff, then...So many of my friends in SC drank this stuff, then they had my LimeLight. Either I make beer better than commercial breweries or commercial breweries make beer worse than my home brew - take your pick.Alistair Reecehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15929927359428659775noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12501248.post-459681257732199642010-04-30T09:35:41.247+01:002010-04-30T09:35:41.247+01:00Remember Blue Moon from when I first went to Calif...Remember Blue Moon from when I first went to California and was quite dissapointed.Robhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15686907092077149244noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12501248.post-83387192447033082692010-04-30T09:00:56.809+01:002010-04-30T09:00:56.809+01:00Have to say BN, you have captured the essence of B...Have to say BN, you have captured the essence of Blue Moon perfectly. The off putting syrupy orange concentrate and wateriness particularly.

I understand it is going to hit Manchester in keg form soon, as of course "Blue Moon" is the anthem of Manchester City and Coors reckon they'll find a willing audience there. Seems it will be about £4 a pint. Coors will be disappointed then.

Maybe though the Burton version will be better? I won't hold my breath.Tandlemanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06804499573827044693noreply@blogger.com
